Idaho Weekend

Idaho weekend

We went to Idaho this weekend to see the family and I had put together on Saturday that we would see the Bar J Wranglers in Jackson Hole Wyoming. I had planned to do this in July but not everyone in the family could make it and they were sold out so I scheduled a different date and everyone in the family came except for Ryan who is in Seattle.

It was a lot of fun to go and hang out and the dinner was really good. They show was pretty dang funny and Cayman actually danced and liked the music. She had a rough time when we were eating and was trying to get down and go explore but with like 500 people it was kind of crowded. That was the only little hitch we had during the night and other than that, I think it was a lot fun and I am glad we did it. On Sunday, Cory left to go to Utah and Cayman and I stayed in Idaho.

We went to lunch with my Grandma and then I had my friend Holly over that night to visit. On Monday I saw my friend Lindsay and Jessica and their mom Rhoda. Lindsay just had a baby and we went to the Hospital to see him. He is so tiny and cute about 5pounds and 4 ounces. He was 5 weeks early. Cayman was never that small and I forgot that babies are really tiny. Cayman sure wigged out when I held him and she saw me through the glass. She was not happy that I had someone other than her. We are going to be in trouble when number 2 comes sometime. That afternoon we BBQ'd with Mel and Phil, Dad and CArma and then I met my friend Missy over to Porter park and we let the girls ride on the carousel. There was a splash park next to it and Cayman went crazy!! She was running all over and getting wet in her clothes.

She was a maniac!! I have never seen her so excited and all over the place. It was pretty funny. Thanks to my Dad for getting all the great Pictures. He is the Photographer!!

We left on Tuesday and came back to Utah with Mel and Phil who left for San Francisco Wednesday morning. Thanks for letting me stay with you. It was a good time. I was very surprised when I got home that Cory had cleaned the house really good. It was spotless even in our bedroom. I was so happy and then when I turned on the TV to see what we had recorded and I noticed we had the Oxygen channel which we didn't before. I am addicted to Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood and I really wanted to get Oxygen....He got it for me. What a sweet hubby!! We also really like the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency and that come on next week! Yipee!! Well, I think thats the bulk of the weekend. It was good to visit and it was even better to come home. I miss seeing family all the time but I wouldn't want to move back to Idaho any time soon. :)

Heritage Park Weekend

We decided to go to HOgle Zoo last Saturday and boy was it HOT!!! It was alot of fun and Cayman loves to see the animals. It was pretty funny because she says Ewww..or Ewey..all the time if it stinks anywhere and with all those animals she was plugging her nose and saying Ewwww....so cute!!

Cory and I try to do something fun and different every weekend with Cayman so she can see everything and not get bored. This weekend my dad came to visit on Saturday and so we went to Heritage Park and did the sights.

I have never been there and Cayman had a lot of fun seeing the animals, riding a pony by herself, petting the sheep, riding the train, riding in a pioneer wagon with all the flies, eating Popcorn, playing in the little kids village and just enjoying being outside. It was pretty nice and we had a little breeze
.

I just kept imagining if we had to live that way and I decided I probably would not have been a very good pioneer. I am so blessed with all the modern day amenities we enjoy and how we can get anywhere we want with a car or plane. We can make anything we want for dinner, and if we want a snack we just go get one. We can shop for clothes less than 2 miles away and not have to make our own. We have been blessed to have not one, but 2 very nice houses in our life so far... 13 people had to live in a teeny, tiny, one room cabin as big as one of our bedrooms. It is crazy to me that people back then actually lived without all that we have. I am so thankful for the world I live in and for the gospel and all it means. We are very blessed and even in our toughest times.. we still have it pretty good.
I was so excited to have my dad come visit. This weekend was great fun for us and Cayman couldn't get enough of her PAPA!! It was so fun to see her follow him around all over and play with him. She had a great time and we are excited to go up next weekend to Idaho and visit for a couple days.
I love for Cayman to get to know her grandparents. She really had a lot of fun. Next weekend we will be in Idaho and then in Jackson watching the BAR J Wranglers and eating a feast!! Should be fun. I will post more then. Scroll down a little to see a slideshow!!
