Fathers day, horses and Westfest oh my!

So much has been going on this last couple weeks. I made baby Cooper a sign for his room. It turned out pretty cute. It just says his name. This is the picture.
I also had to make Cayman a veil because she kept putting her silky night gown on her head saying she was getting married. If it wasn't the gown, it was a silky blanket and it would just fall off. I did a make-shift one and since I don't have a sewing machine, this is how it turned out. She loves it though and it works!
We had Fathers day and Cory got a couple tickets to Elton John and Billy Joel when they come in November. He was very excited and surprised. I finally got him something he liked! I made a turkey breast dinner and it turned out great! Cayman told him Happy Fathers Day and I got it on video.

It is so cute! She painted him a magnet of a guitar all by herself and gave it to Cory with a card. She then also did some watercolor paintings. It was fun. We went to the Gateway Chalk Art festival and looked at the art they had. most of the chalk drawings still were being drawn so we didn't get to see the finished product. It was a nice little family outing together. We did get ice cream cones afterward which is my favorite.

We also got to go to Cory's friend Penny's house to see her ranch. She had about a dozen horses and 4 baby horses that Cayman got to pet and she actually got to ride a really big horse by herself. I took lots of pictures and a little video.

She does so well to sit on the horse and she just looks like a natural. Cayman loves horses and asks all the time to ride one. She was in heaven! After the horses, we got to see a baby peacock, chicks, roosters, and ducks. Cayman got to feed the chickens by sprinkling bird seed on the ground. It was a fun evening. Thanks to Penny for sharing her home!

This weekend was West fest in West Valley. Connie has done the retail booths for this event the last couple of years and this year she decided to also make things for a booth rental. She made burp cloths, magnet boards, hooded towels, visors and crowns to decorate your own and magnets. It was a lot of really cute stuff.
As a perk for her working this carnival, she got all us kids into the rides for free! VIP is what our hand stamp said and we got to ride all the rides we wanted. It was great fun for Cayman and Cory.
I had to watch which was also fun for me as I love to see my little princess laugh and smile. She loves rides!

I love summer for the carnivals, parades and food. I had 2 snowies yesterday and I was in heaven. I love sno-cones! Yummy! CJ and Jackie, Candice, Dallas and Cohen also came. We got to hang out with them for most of the day. What a fun family day it was! Cayman got to pick face painting and of all the things she could choose, she chose a Ute flag! So funny and then her other cheek had a Ute Tattoo! She looked so cute. Cory and I got her a balloon made into a dog. It was pretty cute. It was nice weather and we had a lot of fun. Caymans most favorite ride was the tilt-a-whirl. She and Cory probably did that ride about 6 times. I loved to see her laughing so hard and she had a huge smile on her face. She also really liked the pirate ship ride. The boat gets up pretty high swaying in the air. She did not like the fun houses. The first one we went in, she stepped on an air pedal and air came shooting up and she burst into tears and we had to find our way out fast! She wanted to try another a little while later and didn't love it either. Funny kid! She had fun riding with Cohen on the little kids rides. The whales, the puppys, the motorcyles and the planes.

She did the ferris wheel with Jackie and another little girl. Of all the rides I could do, the carousel where you just stand next to your kid, the guy told me I couldn't if I was pregnant. What?! Seriously? I just stand there. Oh well, Cory got to do all the rides and I took all the pics. That is why this is the only picture of me at all. I look awful and fat! Ahhhh! It was a fun day and that's what matters.

Just a little update!

Not much has been going on but I did get some cute pics of Cayman I wanted to put on here. Cayman has been in this phase of princesses for quite a while now and she loves to act out the different princesses and princes. She is so funny and cute. Connie found her these glass slipper shoes at JcPenneys and just had to get them for her.
Cayman has been wearing them every chance she gets. They are so cute and have a little heel. Its so grown up. Cayman loves them. I got her a cute polka dot dress and she wore it with her glass slippers on Sunday. So cute.

Cayman also loves to go through my closet and try on my shirts. She seems to try on something of mine at least 2 times a day. She also gets in my lingerie which I probably will need to put away in a higher place because she thinks the are princess gowns. Last night she put on my red and black nightie and said she was princess Jasmine from Aladdin. I was washing all her sleepgowns that are silky that she has to wear at night and during naps and any other time of day she can. She would live in the sleepgown if she could. Cayman just had to wear my silky to bed. It is crazy that she loves to wear my stuff, she gets so mad if it doesn't fit and will say "too big mommy." I tell her I know, Its my shirt. Of course it is to big. She will still try to wear it. My funny kid! As I am writing this she just comes upstairs with the silky nightie and says help me put on. Its 4 in the afternoon. She just can't stay dressed in anything. AHHH!!
We went to Hale theatre on Monday to exchange some of our tickets and they have stairs that start on one side and wind down to the other side. I could see in Cayman's eyes that was where Princesses walked. I told her it was okay to go up and come back down. She got this huge grin on her face and her eyes went all romantic and she pulls the corner of her shirt up like she is holding up a really long dress and she goes up the stairs and comes back down. It was so freaking cute and funny I wish I had taken a picture. She really has quite the imagination.
Right now some of her favorite shows are: Alice in Wonderland, Max and Ruby, Spongebob(which I hate) and Scooby doo. Very strange choices I think. She weighs 28 pounds and is learning lots of new words and lots of new things. Not all that are nice. She is in a phase that she will spit on us or the object that is making her upset and we tell her not to spit and then she will hit. I sure hope this phase doesn't last long. She is in swim lessons and loves the water. The other day she just crawled along the bottom of the pool totally submerged with eyes wide open and swam forever. She comes up for air and goes back down. She tells me she is Nemo. It was kind of freaking me out how long she would stay under, but that's what fish do.
I am doing great. Only 9 weeks left and then Baby Cooper will be here. I can't wait. Cayman asks every day when he will come. I hope she will be good with him. I still need to break her of the binky and get on the ball with the potty training. I don't have much time left. Cayman kisses my tummy still and talks to him through my belly button. She knows he can see her through there. The funny things kids do.
Cory bought himself a bike with a seat to take Cayman on rides. I need to get pics of them. She likes to ride with him and she wears her barbie helmet and its really cute.
This last pic is of Cayman eating a huge Costco Chocolate Chip Muffin. Its the size of her face. I will post more later!

Hogle Zoo...Again!

Cory has been out of town this week and so Cayman and I have just been doing girl things. These couple pics are of Cayman playing with her shadow. It was pretty cute to watch and so I had to get some pictures.

We had a good day Tuesday and went and hung out with CJ and Jackie for a little bit. On Wednesday we just played outside and with the neighbors, Connie came up and we went to dinner and then CJ watched Cayman so Jackie and I could get together with some of the girls in our neighborhood to learn about saving money and couponing. I hope I learned something. It was pretty intense.
Today, Cayman and I went to the Zoo. We have already been this year but it is a fun and easy thing to do. They were having bug day at the Zoo, but not insect bugs, Germ Bugs. They had a little germ you could get your picture with and a couple games to play and stickers. It was kind of cute.
Here are some pictures.

This is one of her doing a mean gorilla face sitting with the gorilla and one of her being happy. She did a good job on the mean face don't ya think?

Here is Cayman on the carousel and wouldn't ya know it, she just wanted to sit on the bench like a princess. I was Prince Phillip.

We haven't really had much going on here in the last week. I will be happy to have Cory home to help with Cayman. It is tough being a single parent even for just 2 days. Cayman sure challenges me. We both will be happy to have daddy back!
The pregnancy is slowly coming to an end, 10 more weeks to go. I can't believe it! Baby Cooper will be here soon. Yipee! I will post more later!
