Cornbellys Maze

We went to Cornbelly's Maze in Thanksgiving point this weekend. It is normally like 10 bucks but we had coupons for 93 cents!! Watch us save some money. It was really a lot of fun and Cayman had a blast.

We did a kiddie corn maze which was pretty tricky and it was fun to see Cayman get in a dead end and then say "Oh, Man! " so funny!

We watched a chicken show made of puppets and Cayman thought that was the greatest thing to see chickens sing. She just sat on the hay and had a great time.

Her favorite was to go down this huge slide and she would come down and then run up the stairs and go down again, I think she did this like 15-20 times.

It was so cute to see her go down and hurry to get up the stairs. What a little energizer bunny we have.

She got to play in a box of corn like a sand box but is was a corn box. It was really dirty but she had fun!!

Then she played dress up in princess costumes and got to sit in the carriage. How fun.

We went through a haunted house and it was kinda scary so we didn't do that again. I love Halloween and the fun that comes during the month. We will need to pick out our pumpkins soon! All in all we enjoyed our night as a family and that is the best!

Caymans 2nd Haircut!

After our awful experience with Cookie Cutters and the stylist there, Cory called and talked to the owner Ashlan who he went to school with. She was so nice and apologetic and then told him that she actually had to fire the stylist that next morning because she was not doing a good job. Ashlan told us to bring Cayman in and she would personally cut her hair. We took Cayman in today and Ashlan did a wonderful job. She was so nice and good to Cayman. Caymans little bob looks so cute and it was much better. Cayman got 2 suckers and a balloon. Ashlan even styled her hair and gave us a free haircut next time. It was a much better experience today. THANK YOU Ashlan for your help. We really didn't want to be so negative and you fixed the problem! We will be back! Here are some new pics of the new do!

Caymans First big girl Hair cut!

We decided after seeing Izzys pictures after her haircut at Cookie Cutters, we wanted to take Cayman there when her hair needed cut. We took her there last night because one just opened in West Bountiful and we thought Cayman would like it.
When we got there we noticed how cute it was but once we started, we realized the hairstylist had her 2 bratty kids there and no other stylist around...it made for an awful experience. Cayman was so cute to sit in the plane they had and to pick out a dvd she was ready. The whole time these 2 little boys were jumping on Caymans chair, spinning the wheel, and shaking the plane. The one kept wanting his mom to hold him and kept trying to get in between his mom and Cayman, I was so annoyed. Cayman was not sitting very still because these kids were bugging her and the stylist was yelling at her boys. I just couldn't believe how awful it was. I then asked her to trim her bangs and try to do something with the front of her hair and she looked at me like I was crazy. I said that I wasn't a hairstylist so I didn't know what needed done. She just kinda looked at me and I said its fine we are done with this. She didn't even style her hair.Needless to say, she told Cayman she could have a balloon and sucker when we were done and Cayman didn't get either. I just felt so bad that it was Caymans first real haircut and it was so awful and that we had to pay$15.95. What a waste. I will not ever go back there again. Her hair looks a little better and I posted some before and after pictures. We will need to get it done again real soon.

St. George getaway!

We left for ST. George on Thursday morning with Trent and Ange. We got there around 2pm, the boys went golfing and us girls went and layed out by the pool. I haven't done that without having to chase Cayman around. It was really nice. That night we went dinner and and to see Les Miserables at the Tuachann amphitheatre. The show was amazing. It was really great. The next morning the boys went golfing again... and we went shopping! Of course it was really fun. We met and went to lunch and then we went to Walmart to get a couple things. I did a little Birthday shopping for Cayman. We came back and went to Q4U for dinner and then on to the Big River performance at Tuachann. This show was just as great if not better. They flood the stage and water was everywhere it was a wonderful show. I love to go to Tuachann it is always such a great atmosphere and wonderful actors. The next day we went to Zions and went Hiking. WE only did 2 hikes but it took us all day. We started at 10am and didn't get done until about 5:30pm. We did the emerald pools and then we hiked up the Narrows. We had water shoes and it was so awesome to get in the river and use our sticks and trek through rocks and water. What a fun experience. The scenery was beautiful and we had a really great time. That night we ate at IN n Out burger and then just sat in the hot tub and hung out. Sunday we slept in till 9:30am and then went to breakfast and headed home. It was a great weekend. There was only one bad thing about it and that was that Cayman was not with us. I had anxiety from not seeing her and everytime I called to check in I started crying. I really missed my little one. I called about 3 times a day and cried each time. It was really hard to leave her for that long. A big thanks to Melanee for coming up from Idaho to stay with Cayman and thanks to Connie for watching her Saturday night and Sunday. It was really nice to get away but also heartbreaking at the same time. I am just a big cry baby! I did a little reading on this trip and started the 1st Twilight book. I said I wouldn't read it because everyone is reading it, but i gave in. It really is good. I finished it this morning and am ready for book 2. I guess I am a follower. Well, that sums up our little weekend getaway. Now back to real life!

Labor day in Moab!

LABOR DAY IN MOAB!

Friday night we decided to go to Moab on Saturday and the spend the weekend there hiking and sightseeing. I got us a hotel and we called and asked Connie to come with us. We left Saturday and hit a few thundershowers and lightning on the way, but it was a good drive. The lightning was pretty. We got up early on Sunday morning and drove to Arches national park.We stopped at Balanced Rock on our way to Delicate Arch.
We wanted to hike to Delicate Arch and then some other arches. It was overcast and we had a few scattered showers but it made for a very nice hike. We didn't have to endure temperatures that were very hot. This was great!
The trail to Delicate arch is 1.5 miles there and 1.5 miles back. 3 miles roundtrip. I sure hoped I could do this.. as I am not very athletic. I thought, if Connie who has MS can do it.. I for sure could. The trail started out great and then it was like uphill on rock forever!! I thought for sure I was going to die. Cory packed Cayman on his back in a carrier and Connie did great. After a while longer, we made it. There it was... a most wondrous and spectacular sight. Delicate Arch. What a view. I will never forget coming around the corner and BOOM...there it is.

It was beautiful. Moab is such a beautiful area.

We had so much fun and then on the way back Cayman got tired and fell asleep. I have no idea how she even slept like this.

We hiked around for most of the day...and we probably did around 5-7 miles.

Cayman did really well and probably hiked for about half of what we did. We hardly carried her except when she wanted us too. What a little Trooper. We went to the Canyon lands national park later that day and walked around the rim of the canyon. How scary is it that there are no railings and you could see for miles and miles down and around? You could easily fall off the ledge and die, but I kept thinking how beautiful a place to be. It was really breathtaking.

The landscape and the beauty is well worth the pain of how I felt the next morning. I hurt all over!! And I had nightmares all night about falling off the ledge with Cayman. On Sunday we went to Slickrock which Cory wanted to show Cayman. He came here alot growing up and loves it so he wanted to let Cayman play on the rocks.

It was really windy and the higher up you got it would blow you over. We only stayed a little bit but Cayman had a great time. Connie was great to let us go out each night while she watched Cayman and got her ready for bed. It was really nice to have some alone time with each other. This weekend was really fun and I can't believe I am saying this, but I want to hike the Delicate arch again!!! SOON!! It really is beautiful. If you haven't been, you need to go.

Discovery Gateway

Discovery Gateway

I have been slacking a little lately. This was a few weekends ago that we went to Discovery Gateway at the Gateway mall with Dallas, Candice and Cohen. Cayman had so much fun. It is like this little kids big world. Every thing is mini and just their size. You can go grocery shopping, plant a garden, ride the horse, fill up for gas, play house and cook in the kitchen. Everything there teaches kids things and they can discover for themselves how things work.

The first thing in there was the construction area and then the house. Cohen went straight for the trucks and Cayman went straight for the dollies!! Crazy how they know what they like already. It was pretty fun. A couple days later, I made a chocolate cake and I found Cayman standing at the counter with her hands and spatula all over in it. She sure liked eating that much sugar. Nummy nummy as she says!!
