Memorial day weekend!

Cayman and I started this week off by heading to Idaho to spend time with my sister and dad. We left Tuesday morning and came back on Thursday. Cory had to work in St. George so he didn't come. Cayman was very excited to see Mel, Phil, Grandpa, and Cocoa. We started our day by getting some little things to put on my moms headstone. Cayman was very excited to get some flowers to put out there. She picked red and white roses all by herself. We met my dad out there and Cayman helped him clean up my mom's grave. Cayman was so precious and sweet to help. She was wiping down the headstone with soap and water and then put her flowers in the ground. I miss my mom very much and I wish Cayman could have known her. Cory and I drove by the Bountiful Cemetary last week and Cayman yelled, "Look, Grandma Debi. We go?" It took me by surprise that she knew that my mom was in a place that looked like that. It brought tears to my eyes and I told her we would visit Grandma Debi in Idaho. Thats where she is. I always visit when I go up there and Cayman goes with me. I know she doesn't understand just yet but the older she gets the more I will teach her about her grandma she has never met.
We had fun swimming the next day with Kami, Paytinn, Paxton, Preston, and Mel. We then took my Grandma Mead out to dinner at Applebees for her birthday. It was fun and I am glad Cayman gets to meet her "Big Grandma." We met my friend and her daughter for breakfast on Thursday and played at the park. Thanks Mel and Phil for letting us stay! We had a good time. We then came home to get ready for our next adventure of heading out to Bryce Canyon for the weekend.
We left Friday evening with Grandma Connie in our car and got stuck in traffic for 2 hours. We got to our hotel at 10:30pm and settled in for a good nights rest. Cayman got to sleep with grandma and I am sure that was the highlight of the trip. The next morning we got up and got ready to hike. We were not expecting it to be so muddy and rainy. What a surprise! We were so muddy that we grew 5 inches from mud sticking on our shoes. Yuck! The hike was pretty but it was wet, muddy and long. I was having aches in my lower tummy and being pregnant, it was a little more difficult for me to hike up the trails. I felt bad that Cayman wanted me to carry her and I couldn't and I started to cry. The joys of pregnancy. Cayman found that on this hike in certain spots she had an echo. She would say echo, echo? Where are you?" It was pretty cute. I love my little kid. We cleaned off our shoes in the bathroom and then grabbed some lunch. It started clearing up in the afternoon so we let Cayman take a little nap and then we got out for another hike. It was much better. No rain, mud or breakdowns. We saw a little waterfall and Cayman got to play in the river.

This hike was much better and we had lots of fun. After hiking we went to dinner at this little smokehouse in Panguitch. It had a live singer that Cayman just went crazy over. Every time the lady sang, Cayman would dance and clap and the singer would make comments to Cayman. She was pretty cute and the singer thought she was her biggest fan. It was fun. The next day we went to breakfast and then did another hike which was the Butch Cassidy trail. Pretty much we walked in this river that had no water in it. Cayman and I made up a song that goes like this: I go walking, in a river, that has no water in it.
She would sing it and it was really cute. This was fun and it was not raining when we started. When we saw some really dark clouds coming in, we decided to turn back. We got rained on but it wasn't too bad. What a rainy weekend. We left for home after that and that ended our hiking. On Monday, we had donuts and breakfast at CJ and Jackies house. Later in the afternoon Cory and I took Cayman to Tracy Aviary at Liberty park and looked at all the birds.

We let her ride on the planes and the carousel. That wore us out. Cayman took a nap and then that evening we met some friends for icecream at Pace's Dairy Ann. What a full week! Now we need to relax! St.George and Mothers Day

We went to St.George this last week and had a lot of fun in the 99 degree weather! It was so HOT! The night before we left for St.George, Cayman decided to play in the mud. I was talking to the new neighbors and she was playing with the six kids. I look over and she is eating mud and practically was mud! I couldn't believe how muddy she was. She sure likes to get dirty. The next morning we got up and drove to our little vacation away from home. We went swimming and ate and played at a park. The next day Cayman and I went to the Outlets and Old Navy in the morning and we were scorching. It was already hot at 10 am! After shopping we went swimming at the hotel and had lots of fun. Cayman is such a fish. She just wants to be on her own and be able to swim. The pool started at 4 feet deep and Cayman is just barely 3 feet tall. I had to hold her the whole time and she just wanted to be independent and swim alone. We are going to start swim lessons in June. That should be fun! We went swimming both days and then Cory and I found some cute little splash and play parks that we took Cayman to both nights. It was lots of fun.
There is a really cute river walkway and fountain and some rocks that is by City Hall and that was a lot of fun. Cayman loved it. We went and got sno-cones afterwards and that was really refreshing. I love sno-cones. I got a picture of Cayman vegging out in the bed at the hotel where it was nice and cool.
We came back home to 70 degree weather and that was okay too. I like the heat but it was really hot, especially being pregnant.
I got Cayman's picture in her new outfit that Grandma Connie bought her. She just loves it and was twirling and dancing in it. It was pretty stinking cute.
Cory and I finished the baby's room this weekend and it looks really good. We just need to get a lamp and that should about complete it. The walls turned out really cute and so did the prints we ordered.

We also finished our bedroom with the pictures above the bed and here is a picture of my new KING BED Set! I love it.
Mothers day was great. I didn't get to sleep in or have breakfast made for me like other moms did, (maybe next year?) but I have a great husband that does endless things for me and makes me quite happy and a darling little girl that makes me laugh at least a dozen times a day. What could be better. I love being a mom and wouldn't change anything in my life for it. Cory got me this really cute ladder that goes outside with crafty sayings on it. I got one for summer and one for the 4th of July. I am excited to get ones for all holidays. It is really cute. I have been wanting one for a while so I was very happy to see it.

We went to church and then had lunch. Cj and Jackie invited us over for dessert to spend some time with Connie, Candice, Dallas and Cohen. That night we just watched tv and then went to bed.
Cayman was saying Happy Mothers Day Mommy to me all day, and I thought I better get this on video before the day is over. This is her saying right before bedtime. She is a little sleepy and grumpy though. But is is really cute. Enjoy! I am now 26 weeks along and the time is now flying by. I have only gained 10 pounds so far and hopefully not much more will come!
