Caymans 1st Dance recital!

Not to much has been going on here. We haven't had any real big excitement if you can imagine that. We have been taking it easy! I got some really cute pics of Cooper and Cayman though and that is good enough for me!!

Cayman playing with Cohen! She loves her little cousin so much!
Cooper loves this little chair and thinks he is pretty big stuff. Cayman and him fight over who gets to sit in it.
It was Caymans and now she has to share. It is a battle every day that most things are still hers. How can you say no to this little guy though? Cayman can and does! Ahhhh.... one day they will get along!
I made these little tiles at Relief Society and thought they turned out really cute. I put one in the kids' rooms and then one downstairs. It was fun to make.
Cooper has been cutting teeth and is quite grumpy. He is cutting 2 on top and one breaking through on the bottom. He as a total of 8 teeth now. He is getting so big! He also weighs 18.8 with his clothes on. Not getting too big. He isn't saying any words yet and jabbers only a little bit. He sure does love to be outside and in the tub. He still won't hold his own bottle like Cayman did at 5 months. I guess he just likes to be spoiled. Good thing I love this little kid!!
Cayman had her first dance recital on Monday and had a blast dancing! She has been taking ballet and practicing her heart out for this night. It was outside at Bountiful Park and she did a great job! Great Grandpa and Grandma Vincent came, Cj and Jackie, Grandma Connie and our neighbors Madden and Kanti. Cayman was sure happy to see all her favorite people. She was waving like crazy on stage.
We sure have quite the little drama queen. She was definately the star of the show.

I took video but it is a little shaky and not the best camera work! Here are some pictures too! Enjoy!

Cooper was kinda restless so Cory took him and pushed him on the swings. He loves to swing and go high. Here he is so happy....
Next, spitting up!! What he does best!

I am so lucky to have these 2 kids!!

Race for the cure 2010!!

Wow! What an exciting day today!! For the first time ever, I decided to participate in The Salt lake city Race for the cure!! My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 97. She had a mastectomy and had chemo. Everything looked pretty good. Two years later she was diagnosed with brain cancer. It had spread to her liver, lungs, back and her bones. She died in August of 99 at the young age of 41. Breast Cancer is a nasty disease and for the last 13 years I have been worried I too, will get breast cancer. My Great-Grandma had it, My grandma had it, and my mom died from it. I just know I am doomed to get it. I had my first mammogram last year. No, I am not 40. But they say if it runs in the family, you need to get checked earlier! It was clean!
This race was very emotional for me. I was very surprised to see how many people showed up for the race. It was packed!! My cousin Becky put our team together and we were called Team Stacked!

My sister Alli, Grandma Betty, Aunt Kathie, Cousin Becky and her 2 girls were part of it. I think our team had 25 on it.What a neat experience to be able to do. I took Cayman with me and I was going to push her in the stroller. In the end, Cory was able to do it with us and he pushed Cooper!!
A family affair!! I couldn't have been happier. I had a lot running through my mind as we waited for the start of the race. It was really touching at how many people were there to support loved ones and how many survivors there were that had beat this illness. Tears came to my eyes and touched my heart. I can't explain the feelings I felt, but I know my mom would have been so proud of us. I miss her dearly and not a day goes by I don't think of my amazing mother. I vow to do this race every year... I hope it works out that I can!! I hope we can find a cure soon!! For more information on Breast cancer please look here: http://ww5.komen.org/breastcancer/understandingbreastcancer.html

These next couple of pictures are of Cayman and Cooper!! I just have the cutest kids in the world!! I can say that!! I am their mom!!

Yay! What a special blessing it is!! I opened my Mothers Day presents a day early and was surprised with a mothers necklace. It has Cayman and Coopers birthstones on it and is beautiful!! I love it! I also got a popcorn popper that I have wanted forever!!

I am sure loved by my little family!! Cayman sang me a mothers day song and it was just precious. She made it up along the way but it was very sweet!
Happy Mothers day to all you moms!!
