February

I have been a little behind in blog land but here goes. So far this February we have celebrated Valentines day with our tradition of getting pizza from Papa Murphys in the shape of a heart. I then cut the pepperonis into heart shapes as well. We celebrate Valentines as a family and the kids each got their gifts when they woke up. It was fun to see their faces light up. Cory got me a shirt, flowers and movie gift card. I got him candy, golf passes, and golf accessories. We had a great night with a candle lit table,

heart champagne glasses, and our heart pizza. Yummy. The kids liked eating in the dark and it was fun. That weekend we drove up to Idaho and spent the weekend with my family. We stayed at Mel and Phil's house and Friday night we ate at Buffaloes in Idaho Falls with the family and my Grandma Betty Mead. We try to visit her every chance we get. She is quite the funny grandma. It was fun to eat and visit. Saturday, Cory, Mel, Phil, Ryan, and Alex got up and all went to Grand Targhee ski resort in Jackson Wy.

They all went skiing while I stayed home with kids and we went to spend the day at Grandpa Jenn's house. Cooper took a nap, and we relaxed and talked. Cory had a great time skiing since he hasn't been since before we got married 7 years ago. He had a blast! We met the crew up at Green Canyon Hot springs in Teton for a dip in the pool and hot tub. The water is a warm 96 degrees and the hot tub is 105. Perfect warm for a winter swim. Cooper and Cayman loved that they could walk pretty far into the pool before it got deep and that it was so warm they could've stayed in forever. We then got out and roasted hotdogs on the fire and ate a fun dinner with the family. I wish I would have gotten pics, but I didn't. We then left in the middle of a snowstorm that you literally couldn't see the car in front of you. The wind was blowing and snow was falling and a 30 minute drive ended up being over an hour. It was pretty intense. We made it back safe and we all pooped out and went to bed. Sunday we just hung out with family and then headed back to Utah. We had a great fun weekend.
That Monday we went to The Gallivan Ice rink and Cory took the kids ice skating. Cooper was done after a few minutes and Cayman had daddy all to herself.

They went around for about an hour and had a few Hot Chocolate breaks in between. It was pretty nice weather and not to cold. Cooper had fun running all over. We then went to Hires for dinner and we had a great family night. All in all it has been a pretty slow month. The weather has been pretty nice with not much snow so we have been spending time at the park. It is so nice to get outside. More later!

Not much has been going on this last month. Here are the kiddos eating lunch. Exciting I know... We celebrated Cory's 32nd Birthday and him and I went to the movie Extremely loud and Incredibly close. We then went to In and Out. Thanks to Connie for watching the kids. We came back and had cake and ice cream to finish the night.

He got a new U of U sweater, golf passes, shoes and socks. It was a fun day.
We have been able to go to some UofU gymnastics meets and Cayman loves to watch them. She has gone to a few with Cory and a few with the whole family. Cooper doesn't mind going, as he gets to ride the train. His favorite thing!! Last weekend it was Marsden moustach night and I am sure glad Cory doesn't have one.

Cory took Cooper to the Train Show last weekend with CJ, Jackie and Jackson. Cooper loved looking at the trains and seeing them move. They had a good boys day out. Here are some pics..

I took Cayman and her friend Miya to Usa Gymnastics for free play and they had a blast jumping into the foam pit, hanging on the bars, making an obstacle course and playing. I didn't get any pictures though. Here are a few of the kids, they love to make a jump zone with our pillows and couches. They think this is so fun to jump into. We have had lots of forts made also.

If you come over to our house, this is the scene you will usually see...Cooper playing on the iPad. He is obsessed with it.
The other night Cooper was so proud of himself for making his very own chair. A laundry basket, and pillows. He sat there and watched TV. Funny.
An exciting thing has happened for Cayman, she was tested in her speech class and we had a meeting and her therapist has said that Cayman is testing at or above her age and that her speech services are no longer needed. She is done taking speech and she is sounding so great! I am so thankful for the services we have received and th improvements Cayman has made.
Cooper is also doing a form of speech by going to a music group on Tuesdays where he interacts with little kids his age doing actions, singing, and playing. He gets one home visit a month to review speech sounds and talking. We are hoping this will help him talk. Hopefully we will have more to post next time.
