Happy Birthday to the love of my life! Cory turned 30 on the 28th of January and when I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday he just said he wanted to spend it with his family. Me and the 2 kids. I made chicken enchiladas and got an icecream cake roll for dessert. Cayman helped me put candles in it and then we sang Happy Birthday.
It was a good day. He got a sandwich maker and Digital photo frame from me and from Cayman and Cooper he got Night at the museum 2. I think Cayman wanted that more for her than her daddy! She loves those movies! Cayman sang her little heart out all day to Cory and it was so cute!
The next night I had asked a few friends and family to meet at Cory's favorite place, the Pie for dinner. We had a lot of fun even though it was very busy, crowded and noisy! We had a good time! Thanks to everyone who came.

We had fun! A few of our friends came over the house afterwards and Cooper and Cayman got to play with a little baby named Brooklyn. Cayman had so much fun being a little mom and Cooper was just happy to see someone his own size.
It was cute.
I had Cayman pose for some pictures. The blue dress she is showing off her Silver shoes and the one with the Bob Marley beanie is from Alli and Paul when they went to Jamaica! Ask Cayman where its from and she says "Jamaica Man!" Funny!

I got to finally put the wagon together on Thursday and use it outside. Cayman is going to love it so much. We had fun and it was such a nice day I can't wait for more to follow.
Cooper is doing great at eating rice cereal.
He loves it. I feed him once a day rice cereal mixed with applesauce and then the rest of the day bottles. His reflux is doing much better being on Prevacid. I give him 1/2 a tablet in the morning and 1/2 at night. He is eating better and sleeping longer. I am glad he is feeling better. He can sit for long periods of time by himself and has such a cute little personality. He loves to play in his toy saucer and acts so big.
He gives me kisses now on my face and will open his mouth so wide and then kiss my chin and cheeks. It is so fun. I do get very slobbery but it is worth it! He also tried out the jumpy and he liked it! Cayman had to help him jump a little but I think this will be fun for him.
He is such a cute kid! Cooper tries to eat or drink anything Cory and I have. It is so funny. His mouth will open so big and little hands will reach with all his might. I do give in and let him drink water from my cup. He loves it!! We still have rough nights, he wont sleep in his crib for longer than 3 hours. I need to break him of his habit of needing me.
Cayman still loves him so much! She tries to mother him all the time. She is a good little helper and she is getting so big too.
Cayman loves to talk and tell stories and sing and dance and she has such an imagination. There is a little problem that you can't understand her words very well. At her 3 year well visit exam the doctor recommended me to have her evaluated by the Early childhood intervention program to see if she qualified for speech therapy. It has been a long process since October, but finally she is going to start her speech therapy school on Tuesdays. She will go once a week and I will learn ways to help her at home. I am hoping that we will see improvements soon and that her speech will get better. She has so much to say and it is so hard to understand sometimes. I am sure it is frustrating to her that she can't get her thoughts out in a way we can understand her too. I am excited for this help and the improvements she will make. I will post later when I have more!

Here come some sunny days!
I am a slacker....or just busy with 2 kids is more like it :D! Cory is still in a sling with his shoulder surgery. He is doing therapy 2 times a week and then every night on his own he will do stretches. Slowly he is getting better. I am still going crazy with no help and no break, but it will be worth it in the end. I should just stop whining but I do miss taking a bath whenever I want.
I will start our blog with our New Years Eve. Grandma Connie came over in the afternoon and decided to have a sleep over with us. We made Gingerbread cookies together. Cayman had so much fun rolling out the dough and decorating them.
I enjoyed eating them! She had to take some around to the neighbors and show off her work. It was fun. We then had Papa Murphys for dinner and rented Night at the museum 2 to watch. We got in our jammies and blew up the air mattress and settled down for a long night.

Cayman and Cooper both made it to midnight and then Cj and Jackie came over to watch the ball drop.
We made Shirley temples which are a tradition in my family and something I remember as a child. It was fun to share with my little girl. Yummy!
After the ball dropped we did some pop its outside and popped our streamers. It was a fun night. The next morning Connie went and got donuts and we made breakfast. It was a good weekend.
Cooper got to try sitting in the high chair for the first time. I think he liked it. I haven't tried again but here is a picture of my little cutie!
Cayman is still liking ballet. Here is a picture of her stretching on the bars. She is such a dancer.
Cory got to take Cayman to two Jazz games this month. We got some tickets from our Billy Joel and Elton John concert being rescheduled. So Cory took Cayman on a daddy-daughter date. What fun. She loved the Jazz game. We got her cute little jersey to wear and she looked so cute! Now when she sees anyone with the Jazz colors she yells GO JAZZ!! It is funny. Here are some pics of them at the game.

Now, Cayman wants to go to Jazz games all the time. Hopefully she will share her dads passion of sports.
Earlier this week we went to St. George. What a nice break from this inversion and yucky snow. I hate the cold weather. On the way down Cooper pretty much threw up his whole bottle in his carseat and when I undressed him and got him cleaned up he was much happier. This is him relaxing.
Luckily, he wasn't sick any other day. It was in the 50s and so nice and sunny. We went and hiked around the sand dunes a little bit and let Cayman play in the red sand.
Afterwards, Cory found some rocks for Cayman to hike and explore.

She had such fun looking in the little caves and exploring. I loved this cactus and took a picture of Cayman standing by it.
Cooper loved being outside and looking around. It was a really nice day. That night we went swimming and Cooper got to try out this baby float.
He was still a little small to sit in it. He had fun with me holding him and would kick his legs like crazy. He loves the water. Cayman was happy to be swimming too! She loved the hot tub.
Later that night Cooper got to sit with dad. My 2 boys I love!
The next day was very cold and dreary. It rained a little bit and so we had to limit our outside play. We went shopping and swimming and still had a good time. On our last day we woke up to sunshine and went to hike on Dixie rock. Cooper had a fun time hanging out with mommy and we did a great job exploring and hiking together. Cayman and Cory were buddies and we followed wherever they lead us. It was so nice to get out and move and be in the sun. Why do I live in a snowy place? I don't know. But I love that St. George is not far away. We got some good pics of us hiking around and enjoying the weather.

We left all that and came home to yucky smog and cold, but there is nothing like coming home. Cayman got sick that last night with a really bad cough and then on the way home she was coughing so hard she threw up. Sad little kid. I sat in the back and tried to help the best I could and then on Friday we went to the doctors. Cayman weighs 29.6 pounds and is 3 feet 2 inches tall. She had a really bad sinus infection that was making her cough and so we are on antibiotics now. Cooper was seen also for his runny nose and fussiness when he eats, and sleeps and he weighed 14.4 pounds and was given Prevacid for his bad reflux which is why he cries and his throat is really red from spitting up so much. Hopefully this will help with his crying all the time. By the way, Cooper has 2 teeth now. He is getting so big. He can sit by himself pretty much, he is still a little wobbly and we have to be next to him but he tries so hard. We have had a pretty fun month so far and hopefully I will be better about bloggin! Laters!

Santa Clause is coming to town!
What a busy month we have had! Cory's grandparents the Vincents gave us tickets to see Kurt Bestor at Abravenal hall. We got to see my sisters brother-in-law Aaron Ashton
play his violin in the performance. He is really talented and we had a really great time. Later that week, my friend Cassie and her girl Miya met my kids and I to see how chocolate was made at Mrs. Cavanaghs. Little did we know, that they don't make their own chocolate! Surprise! They only make their fillings. We couldn't believe it! The girls had fun and got a treat afterwards.

We have had a couple of firsts this last week also with Cooper! He rolled over for the first time, played in his new saucer, and ate rice cereal! I think he really liked the cereal. What a cutie!
Cayman also wanted to put him in one of her headbands when she was little and so we did. What do you think? Does he make a cute girl?
On Wednesday the 23rd we had the Vincents Christmas party. It is always a lot of fun and Santa gets to come! We also have a story time and then we have a gift exchange. We had a really fun time.

On the 24th every year we do Christmas eve with Cory's mom. We celebrate Jesus' Birthday and have dinner, cake and presents.
Cayman was so excited she tried to open all the presents and was just going crazy. We finally had to tell her to sit down and relax and then we tried to do presents again. From grandma Cayman got a really cute Snow white clean up set and Cory and I got some really nice new flatware! Cooper got a little toy and little fleece blanket. Candice had my name and she got me a gift card to Quilted bear and Cj got Cory golf passes and a Utah beanie. Cohen and Kenzley got Cooper an outfit and Cayman a barbie doll. What fun! Thanks to everyone for the gifts!

Now the fun really begins! We got home Christmas Eve, got our cookies baked for Santa and opened our Christmas eve gifts. Cayman and Cooper got each other new jammies and slippers and thats what they got to open. Cayman loved her ballet jammies and princess slippers and Cooper looked like a doll with his little beanie, jammies and slippers on! What a bunch of cuties!

After that we got Santa his tray of cookies and milk out and then we read a Christmas book. We do this every year!

Finally, we got the kids to bed so Santa could come. We snuck downstairs after Santa came and this is what we found:

The kids got a really good Christmas and Cayman only wanted a bike! Santa did really good! This video is of Cayman coming downstairs Christmas morning and she just can't understand how her bike got in here. That is what she says like 3 times. "How did that bike get in here?"
My sister Melanee had asked if her and her hubby and my brother Ryan could come and stay Christmas Eve with us and wake up with the kids. It was a fun change and we loved having them stay with us. Cayman loves them so much. It was really fun. We opened our Christmas gifts and Cayman got lots of fun things. Cooper was funny just watching and he loved chewing on the wrapping paper. His favorite gift was the Bumbo and ball he can hold onto.
Cayman loved her Camera and her bike. She also got a lot of clothes, books, Doll, makeup and lots of princess stuff.

Melanee and Phil got the kids gifts to open on Christmas morning also....Cooper got a really cute toy lion and Cayman got Princess gems to fish for. Here is dad and her playing!
Here is Cooper all ready for the day and his loot of presents!
Here is Cayman outside in the cold riding her new Bike!
We made Christmas breakfast and then just relaxed a bit. Later that evening we met everyone in Syracuse at my sister Allison's house and we had our Christmas dinner and opened gifts. I must say my kids were spoiled this year!
From Grandpa and Carma, Alli, Paul, Mel, Phil, and Ryan they got a Radio Flyer wagon with a canopy.
Then dad got Cooper some new clothes and Alli and Paul Got Cayman CandyLand.
We had a really fun evening and ate some good food. Thanks you guys so much! We loved our gifts!

Cooper is so dang cute in this picture! It looks like he is saying" just one more thing....
For my Dad and Carma this year we got them tickets the Jazz game on the 26th and we all went as a family. It was so much fun and on Saturday we just went to Gateway mall and shopped. We ate at Tucanos and then came home for a little bit before the game. It was a good weekend.
Sunday everything went back to normal and now back to the real world. I have to get Christmas taken down and that will not be fun. Cory goes into therapy on Wednesday for his shoulder and hopefully we hear good news. What a long 4 weeks this has been!
We had a great Christmas and hope everyone else did too! Thanks families for everything! We love you!

Busy December
I wanted to go back a little and tell you that I took Cayman to the dentist for the first time in November. She did a great job and was very good. They took some x-rays of her teeth and you can see her new teeth beneath her baby teeth. In about 2-3 years they will start coming in. They also cleaned her teeth. She was real good at being very still. What a good experience. Cayman had no cavities and her teeth look great. She got a little goody bag with toothpaste, a toothbrush, floss and some toys in it. How fun. We are doing better at brushing our teeth at night.

Cayman also started Ballet. She is taking classes every Wednesday night at Dancin it up right off of Redwood road by our house. It is a 45 minute class and on the first Wed. of the month we can watch her. The other times I get to drop her off and go do a couple errands. She is loving it so far. I can't wait to see her in January and see what she has learned. The class will go until May. We got to pick out her own outfit and she picked out a princess leotard and tights. We got ballet slippers too. She is so dang cute!

Cory had Shoulder Surgery on his right shoulder the beginning of the month and when the doctor got in to fix him up he noticed that things were worse than the MRI had shown. The original plan was to have him in a sling for 10 days with recovery and therapy for 4-5 weeks. Now, it is a sling for 5 weeks. NO moving of his arm at all. Therapy at the end of 4 weeks where a therapist will move the arm for him and then decide how much motion Cory has and if we can start therapy with Cory moving his own arm.
This is not a fun thing to have done. Cory has missed 2 weeks of work and this has been a really big challenge for me. I have to feed the baby, change the baby, bathe the baby, hold the baby, bathe Cory, cut his food, help him get dressed, and take care of Cayman. Cory can't do anything to help out with the baby at all. He maybe can hold him for a couple minutes. I just want to say that I am feeling sorry for myself but this is taking a toll on me. Cooper is very needy and It is hard for me to hold him all the time. I am so tired, I feel like I have no time to myself and to be a good mom I feel like I need to be able to take a break. It is going to be a long 4 more weeks. Having one arm is not easy. I know Cory is frustrated with not being able to help do anything and to be stuck in a sling is no fun. He usually does so much and is so wonderful with the kids. I miss him helping me so I didn't feel so alone.I am lucky to have Cory be such a wonderful husband and father I can't wait to get him back. We will get through this but I may be crazy in the end! AHHHHH!!!! Cayman got have some fun though. She got to have a sleepover with CJ and Jackie Friday night. Then went with Alli and Paul to visit Santa at Walmart on Saturday and hang out and then that night went to Festival of trees with Cj and Jackie. She sure loves her aunts and Uncles.
We have been able to get some really cute pictures of the kids and us in the house with our tree and out in the snow. It was fun letting Cayman play outside and catch snowflakes on her tongue with her daddy.

Cayman, Cooper and I went to the Princess and the Frog with Cj and Jackie for her birthday and it was a really cute movie. Cayman loved it. The movie was actually really good and It went pretty well taking a baby. He did just fine.
Here are our Beenie Babies: What cute kids we have!!
The other night we wrote letters to Santa Clause.
Cayman said she really wants a princess bike. I hope Santa can get it for her. We then mailed the letter to him in the North Pole and it was fun.
We have visited a couple Santa's this year and I think our favorite is Grandpa Santa! What a cute Santa he is.

We got lots of pics this year with him and It is so neat that the kids will be able to have these pictures of Santa(great-grandpa Vincent) to have as memories forever. Cayman sure loves to sit on Santa's Lap.

Every year we go to this home in Bountiful that has a light show and Santa in the window. Cayman loves to watch forever and see him wave to her in the car and to walk around the room he is in. He eats Cookies and drinks milk and she thinks it is real. The other night a lady was walking into this house when Cayman said "I want to go see Santa too." Me: "I know, she is really lucky huh?" Cayman: I want to be lucky too!" What a sweetie. She loves Santa.
The other night I asked her help in getting me some baby wipes off the ledge in the family room. She grabbed out one and then the box started falling. She caught it before it fell to the ground and put in back up on the ledge. I said," Wow, I can't believe how big you are. You are so grown up to be able to help me." She says, "I know, Can I drive your car now?" Hahahaha! What a joker! That was so funny! She has been saying the darndest things!
Hope everyone enjoys our pictures. I will post more around Christmas!

Thanksgiving, ice skating and lights!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I am a little late getting this posted. How the time flies by me in the blink of an eye. Christmas is coming way too fast!
Cory came home from work one day and had brought me a dozen pink roses and Cayman 6 red carnations. She was so happy she got flowers. What a good daddy!
We went iceskating on Tuesday night at my work and asked Cj and Jackie to come with us. I just sat out and took the pictures with Cooper and Cory took Cayman out on the ice. She loves to iceskate but it is easiest when she has 2 hands to hold. This is why Jackie and Cj pretty much had Cayman the whole night. Cory would take Cayman around just himself and she wanted Jackie too. Cory and Jackie took her a couple times and then Cj and Cory took Cayman a couple times. It worked out great to have 2 extra hands there for Cayman to hold onto. It was pretty fun. We then went home and made Caymans favorite treat...Cookies. She loves to eat cookies.

On Wednesday I made my food to take on Thanksgiving. I made a chocolate pie, an Apple pie and mini Huckleberry Cheescakes. We also made a cheeseball. Cayman loves to help out and so we did this together. She pretty much got to lick the bowls and beaters clean. Yummm!!

Thanksgiving day we went to Candice and Dallas's home to eat. I only got a couple pictures and they are of everyone in the kitchen.

I am so thankful for family and friends who love us. I also am so very thankful for my husband and 2 kids. They are my life. I love every minute good and bad I have with them because that shows that life is not perfect. We are so blessed and thankful for our beautiful home, our cars, our jobs and for our health. We are also so thankful for the gospel. Much to be thankful for so I just put a few. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know that dessert was my favorite part other than spending it with family.

Friday we went to Gateway and shopped for a little bit. We got the kids some christmas stuff at Old Navy and that is about all the Christmas shopping we have done. Saturday we watched the last Utah game of the season and I went to Twilight with Connie and Grandma Vincent. It was a fun day.
Cooper has a hard time calming down to fall asleep and he loves his face covered. He will just pull the blanket and snuggle right down into it with his nose. He was having a tantrum the other afternoon so I just put him down on the couch with the blanket and less than 1 minute later, he was sound asleep. This is the picture of how he went to sleep. So funny.
We went to Temple Square Tuesday night with Alli and Paul and hired a Carriage to take us on a ride. Cory and I thought Cayman would love to do this and so we set it up.
It was quite fun but pretty cold. Cayman made it perfectly clear that she wanted to sit with Paul and Alli.
We had a hard time getting her to come sit with us to get a picture.

Cooper had such a red little nose. He did so good. He didn't even cry once. I made hot chocolate and after the ride we found a spot amongst the lights to sit down and warm up. It sure was good.
Little Cooper was just plain cold and tired and after covering up his face but one little eye, he fell fast asleep.
We looked at the lights and then went to eat at Hires. We had some good burgers, fries and rootbeer and Cayman got an icecream cone! What a great way to end the evening.
Cayman starts her ballet class tonite and Cory has his shoulder surgery on Friday. I will post more about that later.

Catching up!
I sure have been slacking on this blog since Cooper was born. I just don't have as much time anymore. Anyways to catch up on some things...We went to St. George in November and enjoyed some much needed warmer weather. It was very nice to get outside and do something. We went on a little hike to Dixie Rock where Cayman got to run and climb all over the red rocks.
We did that 2 days in a row and she loved it! I even got adventurous and took Cooper out on the hike. Cory and Cayman got up really high and waved to us from below.
Later, I hiked up there with them. It was pretty!
Later in the week Cayman and I made some fall crafts. We made turkey hands and an Indian feather hat. What fun!
Cayman and I got tickets to Disney on Ice the Princesses and Grandma Connie came with us. We just had a little girls day out and it was so much fun. Cayman wore her Cinderella dress and it lights up. It looked awesome in the dark! Cayman got to see all her favorite princesses and got to wave and sing and she just loved every minute of it. She was in awe at all the ice skating going on and now asks all the time to go ice skating. After the show we went to Chili's and had lunch. That night we went to Grandma and Grandpa Vincents to watch the Ute game and to celebrate CJ's Birthday. It was a really fun day!
That week we found out that Cory is going to have to have shoulder surgery on his right arm. They found that he has a torn labrum and a bone spur they need to cut off. We have scheduled the surgery for December 4th. What luck! Hopefully his arm won't have so many problems after this. Lets hope!
Cory and I went to the Jazz game this week and had a fun date night. We love to watch the jazz! It was a good game and luckily they won!
Cooper is sleeping better at night and only wakes up for 1 or 2 feedings and is growing bigger everyday. He is so cute and fun and now will giggle when you tease him and tickle his sides. He also loves bath time and will kick his feet so hard and smile so big. I got some video of it. I think its cute.
He has been given much love from his older sister and she says he makes her so happy! This said while Cayman is giving the biggest cheeser! She sure loves him. We have been having a little problem with Cayman wanting Coopers binky and trying to take it whenever possible. Not a good thing. She will be super quite and you know something is up. Sure enough, she has a binky in her mouth. What a little trickster. She will usually throw it on the floor and say What? Like she doesn't know she is in trouble. What a handful. Here is a current picture of them together. Aren't they just so cute!
I will post more after Thanksgiving! Have a great week!
