A Week of firsts!

Wow! We had a great week of firsts last week. Cayman started her pre-school on Tuesday. She goes to Miss Charity's on Tues and Thursday's from 8:30 to 10:30. It has been really nice to walk over there in the mornings and take her and pick her up. She is loving it and has 11 little friends in her class. This week they had show and tell for the letter A. She took her Ariel doll. We love to see her artwork and what she is learning. This is going to be great for her! Here is Caymans first day of school outfit!

On Wednesdays, she has her Talking Time class in Bountiful with 5 other little kids and we work on her speech. She is excited to be back with Miss Angela.
Also on Wednesdays, she takes ballet. Here she is posing in her outfit for her first class!
We do have a busy week of things to do with Cayman. I am excited for this year in all that Cayman will learn and stay active.

Later that week was the U of U game. We got our family picture of us all in red

and then Cayman was able to go to her first U game of the year as Daddy's date. She was very excited and went with Cory, C.J. And Dallas. What fun they had.
Cayman was ready to go after about and hour so I don't think she will be using my ticket again. I will go with Cory and enjoy the game. It is fun for her to spend time with her dad though. Cooper and I stayed home and played with toys and its not very often he gets me all to himself. It was fun.
I will post more later.

Labor day fun!

This Labor day weekend we stayed home for a change but found lots to do here in our town. We started it Thursday night with the Utah game! They played against Pitt and we won in over time. I also had to deal with 2 very large men taking over the bleachers and mainly sitting in my seat. I was just being crushed every time they stood up to cheer. Cory ended up on the row below us and we will have to see what happens next time. It was a very fun game and our season tickets will be put to good use this year. I will have to fight Cayman for my seat as she is saying she is going with daddy. I guess I will let her go this weekend! Daddy-daughter date night!
Friday we just bummed around home and then woke up bright and early on Saturday to head out to the balloon festival at Antelope Island. We stopped and picked up my sister Alli and we were ready for the show.
It was a little disappointing when we got out there, only to find 4 balloons.

This was not what we were expecting but we enjoyed our time we had!
Cory got asked to help set up the Remax balloon and left our fun to go work.

He was stuck helping them for an hour and a half and then the kids were able to go up in the hot air balloon with him for a short ride.

It was an amazing time and was worth it. Cayman was a little nervous and then Cory was interviewed by the Standard Examiner. You can see him here..http://www.standard.net/media/video?clipId=5086848&topVideoCatNo=112028&autoStart=true
We then went to Alli and Pauls and had donuts and then came home. We took naps and then we made a picnic lunch and headed back out to Antelope Island for some fun in the sun. We took Grandma Connie with us this time and we trekked our way to the beach through the sand. What a long walk and we had so much stuff. Blankets, towels, sand toys, cooler, chairs and kids.

I thought this was a fun idea but there were so many bugs you could literally see them parting the way for you when you took a step. I was a little beyond grossed out.

Then the water was really warm and nice but once it got on a cut or scratch or in your eyes the kids were not happy. We did get some cute pictures regardless of our obstacles. We ate our lunch and flied the kite

and then we packed up and headed to the festival. We got a sno cone and then the kids rode on this turtle barrow ride. It was cute and Cayman got to hold onto Cooper.

We listened to the band for a little bit and watched the kite fliers, and then we headed home. It was a really nice day and I am glad we went.
Cayman has been putting together puzzles recently and loves to do them. She did this one all by herself and was so proud. Good Job!!
Sunday we went to Gilgal gardens http://www.gilgalgarden.org/ downtown Salt Lake. We walked around the sculptures and let the kids roam.

It looked like Cooper had many questions here, and he was pointing at lots of things.

It was peaceful and pretty with the gardens in bloom and we just had a little family time before church. I have to say that in the first pictures, Cayman does not have her ears pierced, she is wearing Mrs. Potato heads earrings. She loves to do that and wants her ears pierced so bad. I am still debating that one.

Monday we cleaned up our garage and Cory sealed the cement. That night we went mini golfing at Cherry Hill with Alli and Paul. What fun!!
Cayman and Cooper were very good and Cooper just ran all over the place. He was in heaven being outside.
Cayman did good hitting her ball and we got pictures everywhere there was a castle. Cayman was our little poser. Cooper really wanted to play and would get really mad if we picked him up or took away the golf club or ball. He is starting to throw little tantrums to show us he is not happy. He found a little pond he wanted in really bad and we had to stop him from climbing into it. Yup, another tantrum.
We had a great time and plan on doing that again really soon.

We went and ate at Famous Daves afterward and that ended our night! Thanks for a great weekend everyone.
