The Week of the 24th of July

What a busy week this has been. I received some sad news on Sunday that my little cousin Kira who is 11 and had Cerebral Palsy had passed away while in Stanley Idaho on a camping trip with her family.
I had mixed emotions and was sad that she was gone because her spirit was very special but happy at the same time that now she would be able to be out of pain and be able to see, walk and talk. Cory had to go to St. George for work so my little brother Ryan picked me and Cayman up on Tuesday to go to Idaho. Cory met us up there that night. I went to the viewing and Cayman was very interested in looking at Kira in the coffin. I held her up to see and she said princess sleeping, I kiss her and she wake up. I said no, she wont wake up. Cayman insisted on kissing her and so I bent her down and she kissed Kira's forehead. Cayman looked at me and said, she not waking up mommy. I was touched that my little girl wanted so badly to wake up this angel and then I just started crying. She kissed her a second time with Cheree, Kira's mom holding her and said the same thing. We just cried and Cheree said Cayman was so sweet. The funeral was on Wednesday and we got to see alot of family we haven't seen in a while. It was a nice service and at the cemetery Cayman took a couple flowers off the grave. She loves flowers.
After that we went back to my dads and Cayman took a nap. We relaxed and then had dinner. Dad got the 4 wheelers and dirt bike out and we all got to play around on them.

Cayman love the trampoline best. I even rode the 4 wheeler and jumped on the tramp a little bit. I just wanted this baby out!
We had a fun time even during a sad couple days. We went back to Utah on Thursday just in time to be back for the Bountiful Handcart parade.
It is Cory's favorite time of year. We went with a bunch of neighbors and had a good time.

It seemed like we were in a black hole and the parade people would always miss our section throwing candy. Luckily the kids got a little bit. When Cayman actually caught a piece she started jumping up and down and say yah, yah, yah, I got it! Pretty funny. She loved the Ute float and then loved the marching bands. She would march and dance. The other floats she liked were the Monsters vs Aliens and Cars.
The big highlight was that she got to see Snow White.
On the 24th we went to the carnival with Connie at the park and we were so excited to let Cayman ride the ponies. That was her favorite thing last year. We went and got tickets and put her on the pony but we couldn't get her to smile at all.
I wondered what was wrong and she didn't seem like her normal self. We went and put her on the wagon and Cory pulled her around. We went and rode the swings that she kind of broke into a smile for and then we put her in the ferris wheel.

After that she ate a sno-cone and had some Cotton Candy. Finally, a smile! We then let her do the teacup ride with daddy and she sure laughed and smiled for that one. She loves to spin.
After that we let her paint a rock and then ended our day.
It was very hot and we came home and Cayman said she wanted to sleep. It finally dawned on me that I had given her Benedryl that morning for her runny and stuffy nose and fever and that was why she was acting weird. I ruined the carnival for her by drugging her up! I felt awful. At least there will be next year. After her nap Connie took her home for a sleepover and they did fireworks outside.
Cory and I went to our neighbors for a B-day party and then came home and watched a movie. It was a nice busy week.
I almost forgot that I got Cayman a Utah Ute Cheerleading outfit to wear to the football games this year. Every time she sees the U, or something Ute, she screams "DAddy is taking me to football. Daddy take me!" It is so cute. That is something they will do this fall while I stay home with the baby. Cayman loves the Utes! Go UTES!

Another fun Weekend!

My dad and his wife Carma came down this weekend to spend time with my sister Alli, her husband Paul, myself, Cory and Cayman. They got here Friday night and we just visited and then on Saturday we had a full day planned. We met at the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy and went on a little look around. It was not as big as I thought it would be and much more expensive than it should have been. It was good to see what it was, but I wouldn't do it again. Cayman was scared when we first entered. It is dark and there is little light other than the lights in the tanks. We first went to the touch pool where we got to touch stingrays. They are really slimy and Cayman tried to touch them, but it was kind of hard when her hand is so small.

We found little Nemo fish for her to look at and wandered around all the aquariums. There was a South America zone that had like snakes, spiders, frogs and things like that. We saw an octopus that was not that big,

some jelly fish, and electric eel and all other sorts of sea life. It was fun but will be better when It get built bigger. We then all headed to TGIF to eat for lunch. Afterwards we met back at our home and Cayman went down for a nap and we visited some more. When Cayman woke up we went over to the clubhouse to swim so Cayman could show everyone what a little fish of a swimmer she is. She is so funny and just loves to go under water. She did a good job.
We went up to Mueller Park afterwards to roast hotdogs and smores. Smores are just so yummy!! You can't have a campfire and no smores right? We could have just had those for dinner and no hotdogs and we all would have been perfectly happy.
We were right next to the river and Cayman loved walking down the rocks to look at the river.
Cayman got to run around and went on hike with Grandpa and Cocoa.

They just went exploring and Cayman found a stick that she used as her puppy and then another block of wood as her microphone to sing in. She sure put on a show for us. What a drama queen she is. I have a feeling she will be in acting during school and there will be lots of school productions we will be seeing. My little movie star!
It was a really nice evening and perfect weather.
When we got back home, Cayman put on another show for us singing and dancing and just making us laugh like crazy. The next day my dad and Carma left for home and Cayman got to wave to them and blow kisses as they left the driveway. We had a really fun time with everyone and it was great to spend time with my dad. Cayman kept saying how happy she was. "I so Happy, I smiling." she would say.
We went out to Grandma Connies for dinner that evening and had a little belated B-day party for me. It was very nice. She got me this carseat cover that I had been wanting and it has baseballs on it. Very Cute!
What a fun weekend.
I only have around 4 more weeks for the pregnancy and I hope it goes by fast. This heat is killing me. Cayman is so active and has so much energy I just don't know how much longer I can last running around with her. I am so tired by the middle of the day that when she takes a nap, so do I. I am not sleeping well at night and probably only get maybe 4 hours or so. I am so tired. I don't know how I worked full time with Cayman. Maybe staying at home with a kid is more tiring? HAHAHAHA! Lets just say it is! I have an appointment on Thursday and then I go every week after that. The time is getting closer! Stay tuned
