Labor day weekend and stuff!

Cory took the kids to the Utah Pre show one morning and they had a lot of fun. The kids got tattoos, they stood on the field, met swoop and got sno cones. They had a blast with their dad.

Cayman posing with the cheerleaders. Doesn't she fit right in?

The next week the Utah Utes had their first Home game and Cory was able to take the kids with him. They had a great time.

My dad came to visit on Sunday and it was his birthday so we surprised him with a cake and sang Happy Birthday. Cooper loved the candles and was the loudest singer.

I took the kids to Kennecot Copper mine on Monday and they got to see how the mine works and the big trucks. It was neat.

Tuesday we went with Aunt Alli and Baby Carter to the Ogden Temple Open house. It was beautiful and Cayman learned a lot. Very special.

Cayman and Cooper had appointments to go to the dentist. Cayman did excellent and had no cavities! Yipee!! Cooper on the other hand wouldn't even sit in the chair. It was a bust. We will try again in 6 months.

The kids got Churros after the dentist.
We decided to go camping with our neighbors the Huggards up to Lava Hot Springs in Idaho. I went up Friday morning with the kids and got us a spot and then we explored the town and ate lunch.

The kids were excited to see the river by our campsite. There was a really old deck there and they had fun standing on it.

That morning we had breakfast and it was pretty cold outside. It rained for about 6 hours that night if not more and we were freezing. I didn't bring enough blankets and we froze.
We went to Lava Hot Springs that afternoon and just had fun playing in the pools.

That night we got ice cream and sat in the Hot pools.
The next morning we just played and hung out and then we floated the river.

We all started out floating the river and we did one run with Cooper and I in a tube and Cory and Cayman. Cooper was not loving the tube and was hanging on for dear life. We went over some little rapids but he was getting lots of water on him.  Towards the end of the river we ran into a rock wall and his little hand got smashed by 3 other tubes running into us. He was sad and cried and wouldn't go again. I stayed back and got pictures of Cory and Cayman though. It was fun the first time down.

Mel and Phil surprised us that night and ate dinner with us and dessert. It was fun.

Jacers, was eating everything in sight. There wasn't a moment he didn't have a bag of chips in his hands except for maybe this picture.

Meggie, Kylee and Cayman enjoying hot chocolate on our last day.

We had a fun time and are glad we went with fun friends.
