We have had a great week of Christmas concerts and snow. We got a good amount of snow on Monday and Cayman and I just had to make our first snowman. It was pretty cute and Cayman loves to play in the snow. She probably actually liked eating it more than playing. But what little kid doesn't eat snow? She played outside with the sled and we had a good time.
Thursday night Cory and I got to go see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square Ring Christmas Bells Christmas Concert. It was really a great concert and was just so wonderful to get into the Christmas Spirit. We went and ate at Spaghetti Factory before and then to the concert. Brian Stokes Mitchell was the main performer and then Edward Herrmann did some Narrating at the end. He plays the dad on one of my favorite shows Gilmore Girls. It was fun.
On Saturday we got a really great snow storm. We probably got 8 inches of snow and so we let Cayman play outside again and enjoy it.
It was snowing hard for most of the morning and afternoon. We took Cayman to see Santa at the IFA store in North Salt Lake. She was very good and he told her that she would get a doll! He was a really great looking Santa.
That night we got to use our Christmas gift from Cory's Grandparents the Vincents. They got us tickets to see Kurt Bestor at Abravenal Hall. What a great performance. His special guest was Jenny Oaks Baker. She is one of Americas most accomplished classical violinists. The performance was just wonderful. In the orchestra also sat my sister Melanees brother-in-law Aaron Ashton. He is a great violinist as well and I have been lucky to see him perform a number of times in Utah. Cayman got to stay home and play with Uncle CJ and Aunt Jackie. They had a really good time and took Cayman to look at her most favorite house with lights, music and the Santa in the window. We have to see it at least 2 times a week. Cayman loves it. I must say that we had a really busy, fun and Christmasy week! We are ready for more fun this week. Stay tuned!
