We have been really busy this past couple weekends. I will warn you this is a long post and lots of pictures. We started out Memorial week on Monday and had Caymans last ballet recital. My sisters Mel and Alli and their hubby's came to watch and so did Grandma Connie.
Cayman once again stole the show and was just so darling. She is a born star!!
For Memorial day weekend we decided to go to Bearlake for the day.
We left early and got there about 10:30am. We had our summer clothes on and no jackets. The temperature just kept dropping and when we arrived it was only 44 degrees. Not warm enough to play in the water..I was so sad. We drove around the town for a little bit hoping it would warm up.
We found a little rest area and took out our picnic to eat and I fed Cooper. It was getting warmer and after we ate lunch it was probably about 60 degrees. We headed to the lake and Cayman was so excited to make a sandcastle and play in the water.
Cooper was very excited to see the water also and boy did he try to get to it. I finally just let him go crawling in and yes, it was cold!! He had his mind set to play in the water and he thought it was okay at first and then just started crying. Such a sad face!!
Cayman played and braved the water up to her thighs. She had a really fun time. It was nice to be outside.
Afterwards, we went and got some burgers and a raspberry shake! It was so big we all 4 shared. YUMMY! Then we headed home. It was lots of fun.
The next day Cory and I took Cayman to Lagoon. We left Cooper home with Grandma Connie and spent the whole day at the place Where Fun Is! The first ride we did, was working fine until Cory and Cayman had a turn. Then it broke down. This only began a trend as about 5 or more rides broke down just as it was our turn. We say we always have bad luck and these things only happen to us, but it is true! We are jinxed I guess. It didn't stop our fun and Cayman had a blast on all the rides.
I got soaked going down the River Rapids? and the log ride. I also seemed to be getting sick on all the rides I went on. And they were mostly kid rides. I don't do spinning and heights very well. I sat out pretty much the rest of the day. Cayman gave me thumbs up on a ride that she had tons of fun on! What a cutie. It was nice to be able to spend the day with our little girl and she didn't have to split her time with Cooper.
I think every so often the kids need one on one time and it was really nice. After all the rides and all the walking, we were ready to go home. Cayman was eating cotton candy in her carseat and talking and then, she was out like a light! I guess we just had too much fun!
Cooper had fun with Grandma all day and he was so happy to see us when we got home!
Cory has been taking rides on the back of Cory's bike and the other day he just fell asleep in the back. He must have been really tired. He also likes to sleep in his crib at the bottom of it and moves around to go in the corner.
We put Cooper on his little bike he got for Easter and let it roll down our driveway. He sure had a blast on it and was laughing and having a great time. We got a video and it is so funny!
