April Fun!!

Wow, it has been a long time since posting last. Cayman was invited to a super hero party and she wanted to be Wonder woman. I attempted to make her costume and it turned out pretty cute.
We have had a few exciting things happen this month, starting with me getting LASIK at the end of March. I went in for a consultation and decided to do it. I have been wanting this forever. The day of surgery, I couldn't wear makeup at all, no products in my hair and no caffeine. Cory and I got there at 415pm and then had about an hour wait. My turn came and I laid down on the bed and the doctor put in numbing drops. He immediately went to work clamping open my right eye, so that I couldn't blink at all. Then I looked at an orange light that blinked and then came the cut. It actually hurt a little bit and felt weird. I don't think I was all numb in that eye. Then they switched to my left and I didn't feel a thing. Once it was done everything was very blurry and I couldn't see a thing. I went home and put on eye shields and my sunglasses because it was so bright even inside. I pretty much went to bed and then woke up the next morning seeing really well. I had an appointment at 930 and they said I was seeing a little better than 20/20. It has been 2 weeks and I am loving it. I am really happy with the results so far.
Cayman had an Easter party at school that I helped with. I was in charge of the egg hunt. She made a bunny bag to put her eggs in and a fun treat.

Cory started coaching Caymans soccer team. He has been doing a great job and it seems like the girls like him. Cayman has had 2 games and they have played really well.

Grandpa and Grandma Skidmore came for a visit and left Cooper with 2 awesome play trucks. They are huge and Cooper has had fun playing with. He was in heaven.
We colored Easter eggs on Monday for family home evening. The kids had a lot of fun and they turned out very vibrant. We took a lot of pics and in the mix of them were quite a few funny faces. Here they are...

We went to the Dinosaur park in Ogden and had Jackie and Jackson come with us. We were able to enjoy the nice day in the sun and see all the dinosaurs. Jackson loved the moving Dino's and didn't want to leave. It was so funny, and Coop on the other side was crying and wanting to go. He did much better outside where they don't move at all. It was a great day.

That following Thursday, Cory had nasal endoplasty surgery. He hasn't been able to sleep, taste, or smell for quite a while now. This surgery hopefully got rid of he pollups and stuff clogging his passage way. He was pretty miserable for a few days but now seems to be doing pretty good. He says he can actually smell and taste things better. That is a start!

I held a neighborhood egg hunt at the church for all the kids on Friday, and we had a good turn out. We had planned on the park, but then it snowed so we had to scatter them on the gym floor. More of a gathering hunt than an egg hunt but fun either way.

Saturday we had our annual egg hunt at the Elementary school. Grandma Connie was able to come with us this year. We were able to see the Easter the bunny,
do a cake walk, and get tattoos. We then went outside and let he kids do the egg hunt. It was so fun to watch Cooper gather eggs. He was so slow.

Cayman on the other hand was a turbo. She was running and scooping and got a pretty good haul.

We put out carrots for the Easter bunny that night and then put he kids to bed.
Easter is here! We had a great morning of playing with the kids toys. Cooper was so excited he got a bike that he did a little dance then threw himself on the recliner in some sort of break dance move. I wish I had caught it on video. Cayman and Cooper got spoiled but we had fun.

We went to church that afternoon and e kids wore their Easter best. Pretty dang darling kiddos if I say so myself. Here we are posing..

We had dinner at Connie's and she did a treat hunt for the kids. They got bags and then went outside to find their surprises. Fun was in the air that day.

We have had a great month of April so far and hope for more.I leave you with a few faces of Cayman...

And an old picture of Cooper I just found..He is so darling sitting here in the chair..
