Christmas Festivities

One of our traditions is to go see the lights at Temple Square. It is always so pretty and tonight there was no crowds to contend with. It was very beautiful.

We went to Zoo lights one night and it was raining and cold. The animals were not outside at all and most of the light displays were not working. It was not so great but at least they talked to Santa.

We made Gingerbread houses for FHE one night and we had a great time putting them together.

Cory took the kids to see Santa at Farmington Station and they were able to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. They saw the lights and then had rootbeer floats.

I was on our churches Christmas party committee and we decided to do our theme around a night in Bethlehem. We wanted to have a spiritual night and bring in Jesus to our holidays. The evening was a great success and we had a wonderful night.
We asked everyone to dress up as in the biblical times and we got pictures in front of our scenery.

We made the gym into Bethlehem with canopies and made a market. The villagers were able to buy food and play games with the "talents" they were given when they entered into the town.

Talents used to pay for food and games in the market.

 The water well.

We had a live Nativity. It was so amazing.
Here are the angels and my sweet Cayman singing.

We went to Festival of Trees the first week of  December.  We love to see the gorgeous trees and gingerbread houses.

Cayman had a dance recital and she did so well.  She is so cute and has such a great personality. She is my little firecracker.

She did a great job performing.

Our elf Jingles visited one night with tickets to see the Polar Express, hot cocoa and the polar express movie. We watched it and ate popcorn with the hot chocolate.
