Cory's sweet Grandpa Lee Vincent passes away on September 8 2013. He was more like a dad to Cory than a Grandpa and Cory looked up to him in so many ways. He was his best friend.
Grandpa had a stroke in April and he just wasn't getting better. They moved him to a care center and then he came home. On the Tuesday before he died he had a gran mal seizure and they took him to the hospital. They found he had a tumor on his brain and that it was progressing fast. They moved grandpa to a care center where they made him comfortable for the next few days. We went to visit as much as we could and Cayman drew him this great picture to hang up in his room. The kids really loved great grandpa Vincent as they saw him almost every week.
I love this picture of Cayman and Grandpa.
Here the kids are visiting him in the care center in April.
Grandpa would play the organ and the kids loved to sit by him and listen to him play.
Sadly, he wasn't getting better and he passed away on Sunday morning. We had the viewing on Wednesday night and the funeral Thursday. Cory was asked to speak and he did such a great talk. There wasn't a dry eye in there. It was a sad week for us and he will be missed so much by so many. He was a great man. The funeral home put a Utah sticker on the hearse. Grandpa was a very big Utah Fan!
At the graveside service they handed out bells and pictures of Grandpa to the grandkids and great grand kids.
Here is Grandma and the kids. Connie, Cindy Steve, Grandma, Carlene, Stan, And Christi
Cory and Cj by the casket. It was so pretty.
At the luncheon afterwards.
Family picture towards the end and most had left.
Cory's Coworker sent him this beautiful arrangement with Utah on it. We love it. The funeral was so pretty and everything went so nicely. A great man has left this earth and we can't wait to see him again!
