Letters to Santa and Idaho Christmas

For FHE the other night we sent our letters to Santa. What fun we had. Cayman was asking for just about everything she could think of. Thank goodness there were only 5 lines to write on! Cooper was just cute sitting on the table helping daddy.

After we wrote the letters we hurried to the mailbox and mailed them. Yay! We then went and drove around looking for pretty Christmas lights. It was a great night. Later in the week when I checked the mail, Santa had wrote to Cayman. I am still hoping a letter gets sent to Cooper. I will just keep checking!
We went to Idaho this weekend for Christmas with the Skids. We left Saturday morning and drove up in awful snowy roads. It was not a fun drive. We almost turned around in Brigham City. But we plowed through and made it to Idaho. We didn't draw family names this year, instead we got presents for a family in need and went to the store and picked everything out they needed. It was a great idea to give to a needy family. Dad and Carma got us a copy of the 24 days of Christmas book that we used to read growing up in the Skidmore household every Christmas. We would read one story a night and it was a great memory. The kids got some fun gifts, race track, car track rug, cars, princess sleeping bag, Tinkerbell light pillow, and Princess snuggie. Cayman thought it was fun to be a giant girl! She was on top of Alli's shoulders and had her snuggie as a shirt. SIlly!Aunt Mel and Cooper cuddled up in the Sleeping bag set.

Then we had pizza for dinner and lots of goodies. The boys went and played basketball and the girls, kids and grandparents watched Home Alone. My dad cheesing for the camera!

The next morning we had a big breakfast and then it was time for us to go. We stopped by my grandma Betty's and visited with her for awhile and then we were on the way home. It was a good weekend and I am glad I got to visit with my family. This week is going to busy! Lots of baking to do and last minute gifts to get!
